Video Technics has announced a new plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro that streamlines Sony XDCAM native ingest through its tapeless Newsflow system.
The Video Technics XDCAM browser connects to an XCDAM camcorder or editing deck on the network. XDCAM files are automatically placed in an AVI, MXF or AAF wrapper while maintaining the original video or audio or quality. The browser displays XDCAM MXF files with thumbnails, transfer status and metatdata. Users can search for an ID number or sort by ID, creation date, duration, video format and file size. Other features include drag-and-drop functionality and an import function in a NewsFLow SAN or NAS for shared access low-res proxy editing and play-out.
