Videotek unveils new HD signal generator
Videotek has introduced the VSG-405HD HD signal generator. The VSG-405HD high definition signal generator is designed for use in HD serial digital systems using ATSC specifications. It is a compact, half-rack width unit for portable or stationary applications. The HD signal generator produces 16 test patterns with motion effects, tri-level sync, embedded audio, on-screen character ID with positioning and genlock. A sequence of test signals can be programmed by the user to change over time and is used to automatically test signal path integrity.
The VSG-405HD high definition signal generator is designed for use in HD serial digital systems using ATSC specifications.
The VSG-405HD provides internal or external synchronization with automatic glenlock to external analog blackburst or tri-level sync signals. Controls are provided for independent timing adjustment of the output test signals or tri-level sync. Also, each component of the test signal (Y, CB, and CR) can be individually enabled for complex system testing requirements.
Dedicated connectors for three HD-SDI test signal outputs, two tri-level sync outputs and one group of AES audio outputs simplify system integration. Two groups (eight channels) of embedded audio may be adjusted by channel. Front panel adjustment of audio includes level, frequency and mute.
Control of the system settings is performed from the front panel, no internal adjustments of operational parameters.
