VideoTele and Concurrent to show Triple-play system
VideoTele.com and Concurrent Computer Corporation will offer a comprehensive Video-On-Demand (VOD) solution to service providers deploying digital TV and other entertainment services over broadband access networks. The two companies will demonstrate this integrated solution at NAB in the Concurrent booth, #SU6719.
VideoTele.com offers telecommunication providers a video processing solution for delivering digital TV over any broadband access network, including DSL, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and hybrid-fiber coax (HFC). Concurrent powers the VOD solution for 52 commercial markets serving 3.5 million digital subscribers for eight major cable operators in North America as well as in DSL and fiber-to-the-home deployments (FTTH) in Europe and Asia.
This partnership extends Concurrent's entry into the emerging video-over-DSL market in North America, where VideoTele.com serves more than 75 percent of the independent operating companies (IOCs) that have commercially deployed digital TV services. The total IOC market represents an estimated 15 million residential subscribers. Concurrent's VOD System allows VideoTele.com to offer service providers a VOD solution that seamlessly integrates with their existing video delivery platform.
