Visual display product vendor ViewSonic unveiled the VPW4255, the latest addition to its HDTV-ready plasma product line.
ViewSonic's VPW4255 plasma screen
Offering new advanced screen technology that optimizes the ultra-high brightness, sharpness and contrast levels, the 42-inch plasma display delivers high-definition, theater quality picture clarity.
Featuring 1024x1024 native resolution, the VPW4255 supports all data sources and video signals, including HDTV, enhanced definition television and standard television. Innovative digital electronics add intricate detail to the picture by correcting color and enhancing image quality. Progressive scan, motion adaptive de-interlacing and 3-D comb filter technology provide smooth and vibrant images without jagged lines and signal noise. The VPW4255 features 1000:1 contrast ratio (typ), 1100 nits of brightness (typ), 3:2 pull down and 160-degree viewing angles.
With the VPW4255, users can personalize viewing experiences through a variety of connections and screen functions. The display offers multiple inputs including composite, component, S-video, analog RGB and DVI/HDCP, as well as extensive user controls that offer the ability to simultaneously create, view and customize picture-in-picture, split-screen or full-screen windows for data, video and TV signals. Because it easily attaches to a wall, ceiling or stand, the fully configurable VPW4255 affords users the choice of how and where to display it.
Beginning in July, the VPW4255 will be available through authorized ViewSonic resellers and retailers. It is backed by a one-year limited warranty on parts and labor with onsite service. An optional two-year extended warranty is also available.
