Vislink debuts EXOS DSNG system at NAB2004

The EXOS is a modular satellite uplink from Vislink, that provides data transmission, high-speed Internet and two-way communication with the studio, and MPEG-2 video and audio transport.
Four modules make up EXOS. Each weighs about 6.6 pounds and is built for demanding field and transportation conditions.
The modules include:
- Data bridge module with broadband IP modem offering always-on connectivity for file transfer, telephone, two-way talk-back and video-over-IP option
- Video exciter module, an MPEG-2 DVB-S standard 4:2:0/4:2:2 encoder/modulator/upconverter
- Satfinder module with integral GPS receiver, compass and satellite position calculation software
- RF power amplifier units in C, Ku or DBS band from 5W solid state to 400W power.
