The Vitec Group is acquiring the Petrol Bags business of Band Pro Film and Digital.
The deal is expected to close in early 2006. Tel Aviv, Israel-based Petrol has supplied its products to Sachtler, a Vitec Group company, for more than four years.
"The acquisition reinforces the very successful relationship between Sachtler and Petrol bags that has been growing significantly in recent years," said Joop Janssen CEO of Vitec Group's Broadcast Systems Division. "We are very pleased to add all of Petrol's high quality and innovative products to our well established Broadcast and Video professional portfolio and distribution."
