Waterman Purchases JVC ProHD Cameras For WZVN
Waterman Broadcasting has purchased JVC GY-HD250 ProHD cameras for WZVN, its Fort Myers, Florida, ABC affiliate, where they will be used as primary studio cameras.
“The GY-HD250 is the perfect choice for our ABC affiliate because of the camera’s native 720p format and the HD-SDI direct output,” said Dan Billings, director of engineering and technology, Waterman Broadcasting. “We also chose JVC because the GY-HD250 integrates well with our Telemetric robotics. The performance of the camera is truly amazing, especially at its price.”
This sale is a follow up the December 2006 purchase of several JVC 100 series cameras.
“Additional purchases of our ProHD line by stations such as Waterman Broadcasting is a true testament to our technology,” said Lawrence Librach, vice president, Digital Video Division, JVC Professional Products Company. “Because our products easily integrate with existing systems, station managers are realizing they can quickly and affordably upgrade from SD to HD.”
Waterman uses its ProHD cameras in the field for both HD and SD capture.
