WFXB on-air with AIRO Automation
With its acquisition of Odetics Broadcast, Digital Transaction Group has helped a number of broadcasters avoid the high cost, downtime and learning curve of switching to another automation system. The company recently worked with WFXB-TV, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to upgrade their AIRO Automation and replace a first-generation video disk recorder.
WFXB is running a single-channel analog system with AIRO Automation and a 360 Systems' Image Server 2000 video server. The combination resulted in the station leveraging the technology to do more simple commercial insertion capabilities of its original system.
Based in Austin, Tex., Digital Transaction Group, formerly Odetics Broadcast, focuses on television automation solutions for advanced content management and delivery. The AIRO Automation System is an automation software solution that combines device control, schedule management, content acquisition and archiving.
