Wheastone teams up with Wisdom Media
Wisdom Media has moved and upgraded its on-air and production facilities located in Bluefield, WV, with the help of Wheatstone.
Wheatstone's new D-4000 digital audio console features a stainless steel meter bridge and wrist rest, composite fused finish end caps and new work surface graphics.
Wisdom began work on a $7 million facility in May 2001 and is scheduled to launch on-air operations in early fourth-quarter 2002.
Wisdom chose two D-4000 digital audio consoles as the centerpieces of its on-air studios. The D-4000 offers modular construction, flexible configuration options and mix-minus features in multiple frame sizes.
Wisdom also purchased a Wheatstone Bridge router. The Bridge accepts multiple network interface modules - each one transmitting 64 channels of simultaneous bi-directional digital audio (plus intercage communication, logic signals, X-Y controller commands and auxiliary RS-232 data streams)across one duplex fiber optic link or a single CAT-5 wire.
Wheatstone also supplied Wisdom with three rooms of furniture and Wiremax wiring interface modules for an easy and elegant way to finish its studio environment. With Wiremax, standard cables interface from the Wheatstone products to below-counter panels with XLR, removable screw terminal blocks and other common connector types, making installation fast and easy.
