WNYW adds HD news graphics with Chyron HyperX2 systems
WNYW, the FOX O&O station in New York City, has installed three Chyron HD/SD-switchable HyperX2 graphics systems for use during its newly launched HD broadcast of live news and events.
In addition, WNYW is using a fully redundant Chyron CAMIO server cluster, which will provide journalists and producers with an interface to create, preview and publish sophisticated graphics for playback.
WNYW also installed Chyron’s WAPSTR multimedia messaging gateway. As a plug-in to the CAMIO system, WAPSTR enables mobile phone pictures and videos to be uploaded directly from the field into a newsroom system.
