WOAI-TV Installing Chyron HyperX Graphics System
San Antonio's WOAI-TV recently announced that it is replacing its older Chyron Infiniti character generator with a HyperX graphics system using Lyric Pro software, along with CAMIO newsroom integration and asset management tools and the ISQ remote monitoring and playout application.
"The new Chyron systems will significantly improve the graphics workflow at WOAI-TV," said Tom Strauch, assistant chief engineer at the station. "With the animation capabilities and speed of the HyperX, there is no comparison with the current workflow. Chyron is unbeaten on performance, features and price."
The new graphics system will be placed on the air later this year and will be used in connection with the station's news, sports, weather and magazine show production. The CAMIO graphics management tool will be integrated with the station's iNews system, allowing newsroom personnel to remotely edit text, browse graphic templates, replace images, move files and more from their desktop computers.
