WRNN-TV Using 360 Systems Video Servers
Kingston, N.Y. television station WRNN-TV is now using two 360 Systems Image Servers in its daily operations.
In addition to off-air distribution, the station also distributes via cable and satellite networks. WRNN-TV’s programming includes five hours of live programming daily. The station has a total of five 360 Systems Image Servers, with four different video files being played out on one and another handling animation and video loops. The other hardware is designated for back-up operation.
“These are excellent servers for any master control environment that uses automation,” said Carl Peters, chief engineer at WRNN-TV. “The Image Server’s performance at this price point is phenomenal.”
Transmissions from WRNN-TV reach more than five million cable homes, including all five New York City boroughs.
