WTTW-TV in Chicago recently selected Sony professional LCD and CRT monitors as the centerpiece to its new digital control room.
The station is installing LUMA LCDs and BVM-A CRTs to upgrade the its monitoring capabilities. The 24-inch CRT widescreen monitors will be used for Line and Preview. "Reference monitors" will be used in judging a final video product. Directors and technical directors will use the LUMA displays as camera monitors. All monitors accept both standard and high-def signals.
