Yamaha Looks Back on 20 Years in Digital
By TVTechnology
published Yamaha is marking its 20th anniversary of manufacturing digital consoles — not with china but by noting the sale of more than 3,000 PM Series digital consoles since the PM1D launched two decades ago.
The acceptance of the PM1D opened the door for mid-sized installations and sound companies to take advantage of the PM5D and later the M7CL, LS9, DM2000VCM and, most recently, DSP5D, according to the company.
Larry Italia, vice president and general manager of Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, said, "We are grateful for the huge acceptance of our digital consoles."
