Following several major installations in Europe, Zandar Technologies is using IBC to demonstrate its multiviewer display technology in HD mobile broadcast applications.
Zandar announced that SBP, a major OB production and post production company in Italy, is using a mix of its FusionPro+ and Predator HD MultiViewers combined with LCD displays in its HDTV OB vehicle for the production of large events and sports coverage.
Also, tpc, Switzerland's largest TV production company, is using Zandar's Predator HD MultiViewers in a combo HD-SD production truck. Zandar said it was also involved in other OB projects in the UK, Austria and France.
The company said its Predator HD and FusionPro+ MultiViewers were particularly suitable for mobile or outside broadcast installations because of their flexibility to combine multiple formats including analog video, SDI, HD-SDI, DVI sources and audio. Compact design (1RU to 3RU) is also a benefit, especially when used with space-saving LCD, plasma and projection systems.
