CBS News upgrades graphics systems

published CBS News is replacing its existing hardware platforms used for graphics with new PC-based systems and upgrading its Vizrt graphics software to take advantage of the new platforms.
In addition to replacing the 14 proprietary computer systems with new PCs and software, CBS News added four additional systems and acquired its first six Viz|Trio CG systems.
The systems are used for CBS News programs throughout the day and special event broadcasts from CBS headquarters in New York City.
