Cinegy demonstrated new features for cinegy workflow at IBC2007 including Avid MXF integration, a new multicamera tool and speech recognition technology.
The new multicamera functionality added to the cinegy media desktop allows simultaneous access to feeds from four or more cameras. The multicamera tool enables instant switching between different feeds for creating subclips straight into a clip bin or timeline for applications such as sports, concerts, interviews and reality TV.
The system also now includes a media logger. This tool allows the associating of a script in rich text format or text file format to a roll.
The availability of the real-time speech recognition option enables automatic creation of speech-based metadata with high recognition rates for U.S. broadcast news. Even when the recognition rates are lower, the words recognized will immediately add value and make archives searchable for different criteria. Supported languages at the moment are American English, British English and German, with other languages to come.
