Crawford renews contract to provide shuttle launch satellite feeds

published The Transportable Earth Station division of Crawford Satellite Services has renewed its contract with United Space Alliance to cover shuttle launches scheduled through 2010 live from Cape Canaveral, FL.
The company provides transmission services for space shuttle feeds via three Ku-band trucks with locations at the Kennedy Space Center, Jupiter, FL, and Wallops Island, VA.
Crawford is primarily responsible for transmitting the video feed from the external tank observation camera back to the television control center. With this continued coverage, the company offers a real-time solution for NASA’s global content distribution needs.
