Prominent Parisian post-production company Creative Sound has become an early adopter of Solid State Logic’s new C300 digital production console.
Located in the city’s largely residential 15th Arrondissement district, the five-year-old facility provides television and DVD post production services to a wide range of clientele, using SSL’s Avant Plus in its main Theatre A. The studio cited the highly competitive nature of France’s post industry in its decision to embrace the new digital production console.
SSL unveiled the C300 in September at IBC2005 in Amsterdam. Based on technologies introduced with the company’s AWS 900 console, the C300 provides for greater integration and interaction between the mixing console and DAW.
The console slated for Creative Sound is equipped with 152 inputs and outputs, a 128 x 8 monitoring matrix and SSL’s Timefreeze automation. Version Originale and SSL France will install the console in January 2006.
