RTL Televizija utilizes proprietary Au2Play automation software with the newsroom system NCPower and the Omneon server.
The all-digital RTL Televizija facility, located in Zagreb, represents advanced broadcast technology in Croatia. To enable efficient playout for that channel’s local, Croatian, and international news and entertainment programs, BCE integrated RTL’s proprietary Au2Play automation software with the NCPower newsroom system and the Omneon server. The automation system enables playout from the Spectrum system, with playlists exported via NCPower’s broadcast schedule. As a result, the technical director has access to two channels in a versatile system that allows the launch of a variety of prerecorded and last minute news items.
The media server is built on an open architecture that allows it to support a broad variety of third-party applications for control and transmission, media management, archiving, and collaborative production. The server also enables many users and applications to share stored media. The system’s modular design delivers maximum flexibility in scaling system components and capacity in small or large increments as desired.
