Diversity advisory committee to hear recommendations on Web resource proposal

published The next meeting of the FCC’s Advisory Committee on Diversity for Communications in the Digital Age will meet Dec. 10 to discuss recommendations on workplace diversity and a review of the impact of mergers on diversity.
The committee, which will meet at Florida Memorial College in Miami, also will hear a recommendation on the Community Reinvestment Act and a foreign ownership proposal.
Three subcommittees will make reports. They include:
- The Subcommittee on Career Advancement will propose a Web-based diversity resource directory, report on the best practices identified in the survey "Workplace Diversity: A Global Necessity and an Ongoing Commitment,” and make recommendations on minority and female career advancement;
- The Transactional Transparency and Outreach Subcommittee will present a recommendation on merger review;
- The Financial Issues Subcommittee will present a Community Reinvestment Act recommendation and foreign ownership proposal.
