Effanel Music selects Genelec monitors for a trio of high-profile events
Effanel Music shot the season finale of NBC’s “The Apprentice” using Genelec 8050A monitors. The show, broadcast in 2004 from Manhattan’s Alice Tully Hall, had dialog mixed for broadcast and recorded for later postproduction using Effanel’s OSR truck. Independent engineer, Jorge Silva, mixed the event. A second Effanel location recording vehicle, ob/u, used Genelec’s 1031A monitors for the music mix and to record the house band backing the R&B group the O’Jays.
Genelec 8050A monitors were also used for the release of the new album from U2, “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb,” which debuted at a celebration beneath the Brooklyn Bridge in December 2004.
Genelec 8050A was also integral to Effanel’s coverage of New York City’s annual holiday tree lighting in Rockefeller Plaza.
