Euphonix announces new integrated control surfaces
The MC features a 7.1 monitor section, twin trackballs and four full-throw touch-sensitive moving faders.
Euphonix announced two new additions to its mixing console product line at AES: the MC Intelligent Application Controller and the System 5-MC.
Users can control EuCon-aware applications such as Nuendo and Pyramix using the MC. Fifty-six programmable LCD SmartSwitches on the control surface switch functions according to the application running on the host PC. MC also includes a 7.1 monitor section, twin trackballs and four full-throw touch-sensitive moving faders.
The System 5-MC uses the EuCon protocol to interface with DAWs, and can be fitted with 16 to 48 faders. The console surface includes an MC to control the workstation’s editing and recording capabilities and offer monitoring capability.
In addition, the interface features newly designed System 5 channel modules with eight touch-sensitive knobs per channel and high-res TFT displays for metering, channel routing and signal processing graphics.
Other Euphonix products on display at the show are the Max Air and System 5-B digital on-air consoles and the System 5-P digital audio post-production mixing system.
