FCC fines Telemundo, two radio broadcasters for RF emission violations
The FCC Dec. 8 issued fines against one television broadcaster and two radio license holders for violating the FCC’s maximum radio frequency radiation limit rules.
The three, which operate from towers located on Mt. Wilson near Los Angeles, include: Telemundo of Los Angeles License, licensee of TV station KWHY-TV; Radio One Licenses, licensee of FM radio station KKBT; Infinity Broadcasting Operations, licensee of FM radio station KRTH-FM.
The commission issued a Forfeiture Order imposing penalties of $10,000 against each for violation of commission maximum radio frequency (RF) radiation exposure limit rules.
