Free hearing screenings to be offered at InfoComm
The House Ear Institute (HEI) and Shure are partnering to provide attendees and exhibitors at InfoComm 2007 the opportunity to get free hearing screenings. The screenings will be offered from Tuesday, June 19, through Thursday, June 21, at the House Ear Institute's booth (#12058) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
HEI’s booth will open 30 minutes before the show for the convenience of exhibitors. A certified health technician will conduct pure-tone hearing screenings based on guidelines established by OSHA, and an HEI audiologist will conduct the Hearing In Noise Test (HINT) and OAE test for those who wish to take part in a research study. Free information on hearing health will also be provided.
The screenings are being offered through the HEI’s Sound Partners program with exclusive sponsorship from Shure's Listen Safe initiative. Sound Partners raises awareness about the permanent hearing health risks associated with excessive exposure to sound levels of more than 85dB and offers practical methods for safe listening.
