IBIS will demonstrate speed and flexibility for news and sports news turnaround at NAB2005.
Its redesigned ServerLoad Sport allows the capture of highlights at ingest through up to six different feeds, providing the choice of viewing from multiple angles. Dual screens and thumbnails, which are directly linked to video, provide fast turnaround for live sporting highlights production. Each application allows an operator to process up to two sporting events at the same time.
The PAC (Process, Automate, Control) is a new generation distributed control and automation architecture that allows broadcasters to implement a wide range of process, control and automation systems. It adds to and integrates with the existing IBIS range of systems including station automation, news/sports automation and channel/asset management. It will extend the capabilities of all these systems and provide new levels of integration between office, management and control functions to match the requirements of the new digital media broadcasting and distribution environments.
