Icelandic Television adopts BroadView
Screen One, the commercial TV broadcast station operated by Icelandic Television, has streamlined its operations and gained new functionality by deploying programming and trafficking software from BroadView Software. The BroadView software will work in tandem with a Harris automation system.
The Icelandic Television Company, owned by Icelandic Telecom, operates two television channels and a VOD platform as well as several satellite channels. The BroadView software will handle all programming and commercial spot reception at the station and over-the-air delivery to 300,000 homes. Programming consists of entertainment fare that includes many U.S. TV shows as well as other foreign and locally produced shows.
The BroadView software will work in tandem with a Harris automation system and provide tools for rights management, play counts, multi-currency payment schedules and the ability to output programming schedules to the Web.
The system will allow Icelandic Television to add further channels in the future.
