ILC and Envivio are working together to offer IPTV service providers with a cost-effective way to roll out and manage services, such as video on demand, digital video recording and interactive TV.
Pairing ILC's MaxView network control software with Envivio's complete line of MPEG-4 encoders, middleware and decoders, the two companies are allowing broadcasters and telcos to better manage and assure 24-hour delivery of subscriber services.
Envivio has deployed a MaxView-managed solution at Japanese satellite broadcaster mbco. MaxView's network management and automatic redundancy switching combined with Envivio's encoding systems minimizes bandwidth costs and ensures service availability for mbco.
