IBIS' ServerPlay repurposes content for new distribution avenues.
U.K. broadcaster ITN has begun streaming two channels of news and weather to 3G phones and via broadband distribution with an IBIS ServerPlay.
ITN repurposes its news content specifically for mobile phones with an entire division of ITN Multimedia responsible for the production, editing, captioning and distribution to Vodafone Live! with 3G and O2.
Recently ITN Multimedia unveiled a 24-hour streamed news channel for mobile on MobiTV, which provides the channels to Orange’s 3G.
As well as the material for the MobiTV news channel, IBIS ServerPlay also drives the content for one of ITN’s new ventures, providing news via broadband from GreenGrass TV.
