Expanding its LSR4300 family, JBL Professional has introduced the LSR4312SP linear spatial reference powered subwoofer for multichannel music, post and broadcast production. The new unit features JBL Room Mode Correction (RMC) and employs Harman’s HiQnet protocol to network with companion monitors and computer-based recording systems. This allows computer-based correction of low frequency problems without the operator leaving the mix position.
The LSR4312SP is based on a 12in low-frequency transducer with a neodymium motor structure. It is powered by a 450W amplifier for exceptional low-frequency accuracy and dynamic range. When integrated with LSR4326P and LSR4328P studio monitors, the LSR4312SP Subwoofer extends the low frequency of the system, allowing flat reproduction into the 20 Hz range. The LSR4312SP’s comprehensive input complement includes a dedicated Low Frequency Effects (LFE) input and five balanced XLR bass management inputs with selectable cross-over for 5.1 surround sound production. Additionally, stereo 24-bit, 96kHz digital S/PDIF and AES/EBU inputs can be assigned as LFE or stereo bass management inputs.
Shipping this spring, the LSR4312SP will be offered both individually and as part of 5.1 surround sound packages with other LSR4300 series speakers.
