Lawo acquires majority share of console maker InnovaSon
A majority shareholder stake in French digital mixing console manufacturer InnovaSon has been acquired by Lawo AG. Lawo is a Germany-based provider of high-end digital mixing consoles and routing systems to the broadcast industry. The move officially terminates the receivership period for InnovaSon.
According to InnovaSon sales and marketing director Xavier Pion, the arrangement is a perfect fit for both companies. “It’s no secret that we had been looking for a development partner for some time. As a leading manufacturer of high-end digital broadcast consoles, Lawo’s expertise in the digital domain is beyond question. I believe that the opportunities created by the synergies of such complementary technologies in two quite different markets will be significant for both parties.”
Two brothers founded InnovaSon in 1993 specifically to leverage digital technology into pro audio. Its U.S. headquarters are located in Nashville, TN.
