Liberty Wire and Cable, a worldwide supplier of cable products for the audio/video trade, has announced the appointment of Andy Bergdoll to the post of president and CEO. Bergdoll joins Liberty from USFilter, a subsidiary of Siemens AG, bringing with him extensive general management experience as well hands-on functional experience in sales, marketing, new product development, sourcing and materials management.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Bergdoll was based in Singapore where he built and ran USFilter’s Asia Pacific operations. Earlier in his career, Bergdoll was a senior associate with the consulting firm of Booz, Allen & Hamilton and held various management and engineering positions in General Electric’s Lighting and Space Systems divisions. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
