MAYAH unveils audio over IP
MAYAH Communications is showing new IP networking solutions for audio distribution at IBC2005 in Amsterdam this week.
Broadcasters can stream TV audio over the Internet or can use the Internet to move audio from the field to the control room. The Ethernet-to-audio Ganymed 1002A, Ganymed PRO and the CENTAURI II multichannel audio gateway codec 's provide new functionalities for broadcasters including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-3 and AAC encoded audio signal support with stereo audio over an IP network.
The company's FlashCast automatic codec recognition technology allows compatibility to nearly all standard and proprietary audio codec hardware and software products for audio and audio/video transmission in the broadcasting.
