Media Bureau extends filing deadlines
The Media Bureau has extend the deadline to July 21 for filing comments on a request from Adelphia Communications, Time Warner and Comcast to transfer control and assign various commission licenses and authorizations.
Originally, the Media Bureau set July 5 as the deadline for filing comments and petitions to deny the transfer of control and July 20 as the last filing date for comments and opposition to the petitions.
On June 21, Adelphia, Time Warner and Comcast filed additional information on the systems to be transferred and on pre- and post-transaction subscriber counts. The next day, a group including the National Hispanic Media Coalition, Consumers Union, the Consumer Federation of America and the Center for Digital Democracy filed for the time extension.
In response, the Media Bureau set July 21 as the new deadline and extended the date for filing responses to comments and oppositions to petitions Aug. 5.
