Modulus Video offers new MPEG-4 AVC encoder platform
The new, compact Modulus Video ME2000 family of MPEG-4 AVC encoders expands the company's line of AVC encoders with a system that can be easily switched via a software control between HD and SD video outputs.
The 1RU, multiformat encoding unit offers:
· low-resolution proxy for program guide, monitoring and Microsoft TV Picture in Picture (PIP);
· support for ad insertion triggers to streamline revenue generating operations;
· Constrained Fidelity Constant Bit Rate (CF-CBR) feature that is a variable bit rate mode to ensure delivery of high-quality HD at the lowest possible bit rates.
Three configurations of the new platform are available, including the ME2600 high definition MPEG-4 AVC video encoder; the ME2100 standard definition MPEG-4 AVC video encoder, which is upgradeable to HD; and the ME2020 standard definition MPEG-4 AVC video encoder, which is not upgradeable to HD.
