MRC offers variety of 2GHz BAS solutions

published Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) has unveiled a new suite of products focused on easing broadcasters’ transition into the newly narrowed 2GHz Broadcast Auxiliary Services (BAS) band.
The newly enhanced products include the CodeRunner 4 central receiver, CodeRunner 2 ENG van transmitter, MRC Central Receive antenna system and the STL for 2GHZ operation.
MRC also has released several new products to accommodate broadcast needs in a changed BAS environment, including:
- MRX4000 – an integrated analog and COFDM demodulator and MPEG-2 decoder with expanded real-time digital signal quality metrics;
- SCM4000 – a variable rate modem with MPEG-2 encoding, a range of QPSK and QAM modulation settings;
- DVC4000 – an MPEG-2 encoder, decoder and codec with support for 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 encoding of analog and SDI video.
