New online database to help identify satellite interference

The Satellite Users Interference Reduction Group (SUIRG) has launched an interactive matrix database aimed at identifying and correcting sources of transmission interference to satellites in the geostationary arc.

With the SUIRG Interference Matrix Database, users can track the cause of problems and find solutions to minimize or eliminate problems. The database collects and sorts interference incidents by source, originating region, size and type of antenna.

Data can be viewed at http://suirg.org/interference.

SUIRG is a non-profit association of private and public sector satellite organizations.
