OmniBus has created a special automation package for PBS stations based on the iTX transmission software. The package for PBS stations comprises the iTX core, as well as one standard SD output channel, one standard HD output channel, two master control effects and logo plug-ins for all included channels, two client workstations and a traffic interface. ITX can interface with many traffic systems including ProTrack, Broadview and Scout, among others.
The system software fulfills a variety of roles in accordance with broadcast stations' unique needs. The system takes on the role of video server, master control, graphics and logo inserter with functionality including automation, ingest, editing and basic content management. ITX provides the tools required for sophisticated branding and smooth transitions between clips, all available within a single drag-and-drop interface that allows operators to monitor and control multiple channels and schedules on-screen simultaneously.
