OmniTek will be showing the latest version of its TQ, XR and LAB products at IBC2007 with new features for audio and closed-captioning monitoring. The TQ and XR waveform monitors now feature comprehensive Dolby E metadata and enhanced audio PPM monitoring options, while status and error logging facilities have been introduced to all three products.
Dolby E metadata analysis includes a unique A/V lip-sync delay measurement facility working on the raw Dolby E data streams.
To assist North American broadcasters with compliance monitoring, a full CEA-708-B closed-captioning decoding package is now available as an option on XR, TQ and LAB monitors. This package checks the validity of all the 708 data embedded in an SDI signal, and also offers the capability to save the data packets to a time-stamped XML file.
