Primera offers Blu-ray/DVD recorder

published Primera’s new Bravo XR-Blu disc publisher features Pioneer’s BDR-101A Blu-ray/DVD recorder, and offers features such as integrated robotics and full-color on-disc inkjet printing. The XR-Blu uses single-layer discs, storing up to 25GB of data. Dual-layer discs, offering up to 50GB of storage, will be supported in an upcoming upgrade.
The XR-Blu connects to any Windows XP/2000 PC using USB 2 protocol, employing a proprietary recording and mastering software created using Sonic Solutions’ AuthorScript Data Backup with BD Support. Product ships in April 2006.
