Radio Frequency Systems develops L-band antenna for DVB-H transmission
Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) will unveil at NAB2007 a new L-band panel antenna specifically built for DVB-H- and DAB-based transmission. RFS is offering the antenna as an alternative to the modified base station antennas typically employed for mobile TV and digital radio applications.
The new antenna is vertically polarized and supports applications across the entire broadcast L-Band, from 1452MHz to 1675MHz. It produces vertical standing wave ratio (VSWR) performance values of less than 1.1 across the bandwidth for DAB (1452MHz to 1492MHz). An optimized null fill functionality along with a special side-lobe suppression feature allows users to tailor the signal to the coverage area, minimizing reflections and interference. It is available in 65- or 90-degree horizontal beamwidth configurations, with multiple mounting arrangements.
