Eleven new Raycom Media-owned television stations are the latest newsrooms to add ENPS, AP’s broadcast news production system.
The Raycom Media stations include: WAVE in Louisville, KY; WTOL in Toledo, OH; WLBT in Jackson, MS; WFIE in Evansville, IN; KLTV in Tyler, TX; WSFA in Montgomery, AL; WALB in Albany, GA; KCBD in Lubbock, TX; WLOX in Biloxi, MS, KPLC in Lake Charles/Lafayette, LA; and KAIT in Jonesboro, AR. The systems are scheduled to be in place by the end of 2007.
According to Raycom Media vice president, chief technology officer David Folsom, ENPS machine control integration with the full newsroom through the MOS protocol is a critical part of the company’s news strategy going forward.
