RFS broadband RF to draw spotlight at IBC2005

RFS will show its key broadband antenna system component, including (clockwise) the new fully broadband vertical-polarized PVP panel, 8PX filters for critical transmitter masking and HELIFLEX transmission line.

The key to fast, easy deployment of future terrestrial digital broadcast services is the early adoption of broadband antenna systems.

At September’s IBC2005 exhibition in Amsterdam, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) will explain how technologies such as DVB-H can be integrated into existing multichannel broadcast systems with minimal changes to infrastructure.

RFS will exhibit key components of its leading range of broadband antenna systems, including panel array antennas, high-performance coaxial filtering and combining technology, RF switch frames and monitoring equipment, and HELIFLEX air-dielectric flexible transmission line.

Central to the RFS display is the re-engineered PVP vertically polarized panel array, which supports multichannel broadband operation over the entire UHF band (470MHz to 860MHz).
