RFS rolls out new HU series DVB-H omnidirectional antenna
At IBC2006 (stand 5.221) this week in Amsterdam, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) is featuring its compact, lightweight UHF monopole antennas designed to meet the emerging needs of digital video broadcasting-handheld (DVB-H) networks.
RFS will unveil its new omnidirectional-pattern HU series vertically polarized antenna along with the cardioid-pattern UD series. Both antennas are DVB-H ready.
The RFS IBC2006 exhibit will feature the first of the HU series omnidirectional antennas, the ultra-lightweight HU6. At 7.7lbs, the HU6 measures between 6.75ft and 8ft in length with a 1.5in diameter.
The HU6 provides 20dB return loss across its single 8MHz channel, a 6dBd gain and an input power rating of 300W. The HU6 exhibits low wind loading and has a wind velocity rating of 143mph.
Complementing the HU6 will be RFS’s UD series broadband dipole array.
