Rohde & Schwarz rolls out T-DMB, DAB options for signal generators
Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) has added a new option for DAB and T-DMB to its line of signal generators, allowing for the use of a single instrument to generate signals for mobile TV via the DVB-H and T-DMB standards.
Equipped with the new SMx and AMU-K53 options, the R&S SMU200A, SMJ100A, SMATE200A and AMU200A signal generators can generate standard-compliant DAB and T-DMB signals. Standardized ensemble transport interface (ETI) files can be used as a data source, making it possible to test receivers with real audio and video sequences. Test settings or signals can be changed via remote control, with the signals being processed in real time. The SMU200A and AMU200A also offer an optional second path to simultaneously generate useful signals and interfering signals using a single instrument.
