Society of Broadcast Engineers selects Benedict for second term as president

published Members of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) elected Raymond Benedict to a second one-year term as president.
Benedict is the director of spectrum management for Viacom in Washington, D.C. He previously has served as the society’s national vice president, secretary and sat on the group’s board of directors for four terms.
Other SBE leadership slots were filled in balloting last month, including:
- Vice president: Christopher Scherer, editor of Radio magazine and chairman of the SBE National Certification Committee.
- Secretary: Ralph Hogan, serving a second term. Hogan works as assistant general manager, engineering services for Washington State University.
- Treasurer: Robert Russell, who is serving a second term.
