NAB2005 attendees will see a functioning digital television station on the exhibit floor. The NAB-HD Pavilion will provide a hands-on look at everything that goes into running an HD broadcast facility. The television project will be operational in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center and operate from April 18 – 21.
A Sundance Digital Titan automation solution will manage two on-air channels using a pair of Thomson Grass Valley Profile XP media servers. Output of the NAB-HD studio, including industry-related interviews and feature stories, will be fed to air via KVVU-TV (FOX 5) in Las Vegas. It will also be seen on various monitors throughout the convention center, on certain hotel channels, on convention shuttle buses, and stored on streaming media servers for viewing.
