The Hit Factory to close its New York facility

published The Hit Factory, the studio complex that started 30 years ago, will close the doors to its 12-room, six-story, 100,000sq ft New York facility by the end of the month. The studio will keep its six-room facility in Miami open.
The Hit Factory was a cornerstone of the recording community. The company was established in the early 70s, and was designed and developed by the late Ed Germano in 1991. Artists who recorded there include Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Madonna, U2, Barbra Streisand, Paul Simon, Run DMC, Jay-Z, Beyonce and John Lennon.
