UK-based TMD has chosen this year’s NAB exhibition to announce Version 3 of its Mediaflex media asset and workflow management solution. It is currently installed for leading UK and overseas broadcasters. Mediaflex provides the broadcast and associated media industries with a real-world solution to the challenges of transitioning from physical media through a hybrid environment to a completely digital one. Mediaflex supports the smooth passage of each item of media throughout its life cycle, regardless of its format and aided by a number of specialized modules, delivers fully integrated workflow processes and procedures for improved efficiency and reduced costs.
Mediaflex Version 3 supports Windows Media 9 including the capturing and viewing of timecode. It can ingest content in parallel from multiple diverse systems including Omneon Spectrum Media Server, Snell & Wilcox MPEG Mastering unit and Windows Media 9. Scene change recognition operates in both high and low resolution formats and Web capabilities allow searching and the streaming of media to a browser.
