Ultrasone headsets headed for ‘Monday Night Football’
German headphone manufacturer Ultrasone has announced that its HSD-700 headsets will be used in ESPN's broadcast of “Monday Night Football.” ESPN remote operations project manager Ron Scalise chose the model specifically for its high level of performance and sleek on-camera look. Ultrasone headphones have also been used in the broadcast of marquee events such as the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four and the Grammy Awards.
“Monday Night Football” will become the flagship football broadcast for cable giant ESPN, the franchise having moved from ABC for the first time in its history. President Cathy Kelly of Ultrasone of America attributes the firm’s success in high-profile broadcast events to the products’ smooth surround sound reproduction and dramatically reduced fatigue factor.
